Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer

You Are…

You’re a builder, a problem solver, and a talented and driven engineer/developer who wants to be involved in leading-edge cloud solutions. Your automation code is awesome! You’re a team player, curious and ready to learn or teach as the need arises. You have (or really gotta acquire) deep knowledge of cloud-native services, serverless computing, and the challenges of building solutions that scale and are operable and resilient in the cloud.

You Will…

• Architect and build out cloud environments using an “infrastructure-as-code” methodology
• Develop and implement complex automation tasks and cloud architecture
• Advocate DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods, and cultural practices within Evonate and with our clients
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers, less experienced engineers, and client personnel
• Identify, qualify, and raise technical risks and issues
• AWS cloud certifications strongly desired
• Some travel may be required in the future, primarily in support of project delivery, but may include professional development and capability development opportunities (if travel is a problem for you, that doesn’t mean we don’t want you — low/no travel is an option… particularly now)

You Bring…

• 4+ years of experience delivering automation in a cloud environment (AWS is a requirement, Azure and GCP are also great)
• Solid automation experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation and other infrastructure automation tooling
• Strong understanding of proper landing zone design, automation and operationalization (logging, security, ITOM, etc.)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture expertise, Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise is also valuable
• Strong understanding and experience with Agile project management methodologies
• Experience leading development teams through everyday project tasks and collaborating across multiple functional/technical teams to deliver a project
• Strong ability to share ideas and communicate with peers and clients
• Experience managing and mentoring software engineers as direct reports
